Finance Assistant
Job Description
- Generate invoices and credit notes for Mitco Group of Companies, arrange for approval of CEO/COO and Relationship Manager and provide to Finance Officer for review before providing to Assistant Manager for final review and approval;
- Generate statement of accounts to clients for various Mitco Group of companies;
- Update and poste in client accounts for funds received;
- Be the main focal point to respond to queries of other departments regarding client billings;
- Reconcile ACT statement/list of renewal invoices with View Point and raising renewal invoices accordingly;
- Book daily collection and making sure that payment is allocated correctly.
Senior Client Accountant
The Senior Client Accountant will be responsible of the administration and management of the accounting of a portfolio of clients.
Client Accounting & Portfolio Management
- Responsible for the administration of a portfolio of clients including all aspects of accounting and reporting requirements;
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly and year-end closings;
- Preparation of weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual NAV;
- Preparation of accountings reports and of monthly/quarterly management accounts required by clients;
- Preparation of annual statutory financial statements in accordance with IFRS, Company law and Group guidelines;
- Manage client responsibilities towards meeting regulatory and statutory deadlines;
- Review work assigned to Junior Accountants and to ensure accounting records are accurate and in compliance with internal policies and procedures;
- Review all reconciliation schedules prepared by Junior Accountant;
- Load invoices from suppliers into accounting system;
- Load payments on banking profile and prepare all relevant paper works for payment sign off;
- Prepare accounting files for audit and manage the audit process;
- Review/Prepare VAT schedules and reports as required for VAT submissions;
- Liaising and interacting with clients, other offices and third parties as required;
- To prepare other reports and participate in projects as and when required;
- Maintain client relationship by responding professionally on a timely basis and providing quality to clients;
- Any ad hoc duties/projects prescribed and assigned by the management.
Qualification & Experience
- Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA/ACA/CIMA – Essential or any equivalent qualifications
- At least 3 years work experience in a Global Business Sector
- Experience in Fund Accounting and payment intermediary services
- Must be able to work independently, pay meticulous attention to detail and meet deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal skills being an effective communicator and listener with the ability to provide clear and precise explanations
- Confident out-going individual with a high level of personal integrity and motivated.

Client Accountant / Senior Client Accountant
Job Description:
- Responsible for preparation of management and statutory accounts of a portfolio of clients consisting of GBL, authorized companies, trusts and IBCs;
- Well versed with IFRS and Mauritian tax laws;
- Ability to work in a team;
- Knowledge of an accounting software will be an advantage.
- Partly or fully ACCA qualified; Holder of a first degree;
- Good analytical skills;
- Prior experience in the global sector will be a definite advantage.
Senior Fund Associates
Rogers Capital Corporate Services is looking for Senior Fund Associates to perform a variety of professional level accounting and administrative duties, ensuring that all the clients’ needs are completed in a timely, efficient and accurate manner according to the quality standards and directions of the Manager of Fund Services.
Your role:
- Handle a portfolio of client companies for daily administration, secretarial duties, accounting and taxation duties.
- Carry out day-to-day administration including opening of accounts, application and renewal of TRC, processing the winding and liquidation of companies and monitoring trade orders, settlement, subscription documents and capital calls.
- Organising board/shareholders meetings, preparing board packs, attending board/shareholders meeting, drafting of minutes and resolutions (Corporate actions). Review simple/standard minutes and resolutions. Ensure appropriate due diligence documents obtained, including review of such documents.
- Ensure compliance of files with relevant laws, rules and regulations and with Rogers Capital internal control procedures including Independent Compliance Review, Administrators’ Compliance Report etc. Assist in preparing compliance reports and follow ups.
- Filing of documents in appropriate files, and updating of information on relevant system/software. Ensure proper maintainance and updating all required documents, proper registers and other relevant documents in compliance with local law
- Work on computation and arrange for filing of income tax, VAT, NPS, PAYE, RoE, TDS, others returns as appropriate and deal with accounting issues including NAV calculation, capital accounts and shareholders’ reporting
- Process monthly/quarterly/half-yearly accounts and accounting schedule, as appropriate and in compliance with IFRS. Ensure good maintenance of the accounting file and books of account on relevant accounting system. Review simple financial statements
- Liaise with clients, auditors, shareholders, banks, statutory bodies (ROC, FSC and MRA) and other parties and/or stakeholders in a prompt and efficient manner and ensure proper follow-ups are done.
- Issuance of renewal and administrative invoices and follow up on debtors. Ensure timely collection of outstanding invoices (debtors).
- Ensure customer satisfaction and delivery through fast, efficient and quality service that meets customers’ expectations
- Handle queries from Manager, Team Leader and Associate Team Leader, clients and other stakeholders efficiently and promptly. Provide quality service to clients. Show willingness to help other team members in difficult times.
- Prioritise and refocus resources to deliver on targets to ensure meeting targets as may be set out or agreed with management.
- Follow any other internal procedures and perform any other related duties and may be required by management or requested by clients. Track additional services for extra billing.

Your profile
- Degree Holder in relevant field or Partly Qualified ICSA/ACCA
- At least 3-4 years relevant working experience in Financial Services and/or in administration of Global Business Companies and/or Fund Administration
- Able to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.

Your role:
- Assist Team Leaders/Manager with ongoing interaction with clients and business partners.
- Handle complex structures / clients and high profile clients and ensure the expectations of the clients are being met within the agreed deadlines.
- Review Administrators’ work – including coaching them. Provide guidance and ensure they always comply with statutory regulation and company’s policy and procedures.
