About the job
About us

Imara Trust Company is a licensed Management Company regulated by the Financial Services Commission of Mauritius. For years we have been the trusted Mauritius partner for international groups, fund managers, family offices and entrepreneurs structuring their cross-border activity through the jurisdiction. Our client portfolio spans Africa, Europe, Asia and the Middle East, and includes Global Business Companies, Authorised Companies, trusts, funds and, more recently, fintech and payment intermediary structures.

We are a tight team. The work is technical, the clients are demanding in the best sense, and the people who do well here are the ones who genuinely enjoy getting things right.

The role

We are looking for a Manager – Client Services to take ownership of a portfolio of global business clients and lead a small team of administrators. This is a hands-on senior role: you will be the day-to-day point of contact for clients, the reviewer who signs off the work going out the door, and the person Senior Management leans on when something complex lands on the desk.

What you will be doing

  • Running a portfolio of Global Business and Authorised Companies, trusts and other structures from end to end — incorporations, board meetings, statutory filings, company secretarial work, FSC and MRA submissions.
  • Leading, mentoring and reviewing the work of a team of client administrators. Your team’s quality is your quality.
Being the person clients call. Building real relationships with shareholders, beneficial owners, fund managers, lawyers and bankers in Mauritius and abroad.
  • Working closely with banks (account opening, KYC refreshes, transaction queries) and with external auditors, tax advisers and legal counsel.
  • Overseeing CDD, ongoing monitoring and risk classification on your book in line with the FSC Code, FIAMLA and our internal AML/CFT framework.
  • Spotting issues before they become issues. Flagging risk, escalating properly, and helping us stay ahead of regulatory change.
  • Contributing to the firm’s growth — onboarding new mandates, supporting business development, and helping shape how we work as we scale.

What we are looking for

  • 5+ years in the Mauritius global business sector, with at least 2 of those at supervisory or assistant manager level. Direct exposure to Global Business Companies and trust administration is essential.
  • A degree in Law, Finance, Accounting or Management. ICSA / CGI, ACCA or STEP qualification (completed or in progress) is a strong plus.
  • Solid working knowledge of the Companies Act 2001, Financial Services Act, FIAMLA, the FSC Code and the FSC Rules on AML/CFT.
  • Comfortable reviewing minutes, resolutions, financial statements and CDD files — and confident pushing back when something is not right.
  • Excellent written and spoken English. Working French an advantage.
  • The kind of person clients trust and team members want to learn from.
