IT Security Officer

Job Description

Main Responsibilities:

• Monitor networks, systems, and applications for potential security threats or vulnerabilities.
• Investigate and respond swiftly to alarms, emergencies, and incidents, ensuring appropriate action is taken.
• Follow-up on implementation of security recommendations carried out during audits.
• Prepare accurate and detailed reports on daily activities and incidents.
• Coordinate incident response plans and participate in post-incident reviews to improve organizational resilience
• Develop, implement and follow-up on security awareness training programs for staff.
• Promote security practices across the company as well as specific security training for staff.
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors during security assessments and compliance reviews.
• Maintain the organization’s information security policies, procedures, and standards.
• Liaise with Legal and Compliance departments on data privacy and regulatory obligations.
• Actively participate in project meetings and team collaborations.

Your skills & expertise:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in IT security, cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
• Professional certifications such as Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Certified Network Defender(CND) and CCNA are strongly preferred.
• Solid understanding of network security, application security, cloud security, and endpoint protection.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess and mitigate complex risks.
• Experience in the insurance or financial services industry is a plus but not mandatory
• Familiarity with ITIL, ISO 27001, or other IT governance standards is a plus but not mandatory
