The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering dedicated support to the team by managing a portfolio of clients, cultivating strong relationships with clients and third parties, and ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality service. The role upholds compliance with Accuro Group’s internal policies and procedures, as well as local regulatory standards. It contributes to team success by fostering collaboration, driving operational efficiency, and enhancing client satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Client Liaison & Service Excellence
- Manage a dedicated portfolio of clients, maintaining in-depth knowledge of their structures and needs.
- Deliver superior and prompt client service, ensuring responses within 24-hour and regular, value-driven communication.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and intermediaries to enhance client satisfaction and retention.
- To attend to first-line defence activities in collaboration with the administration team.
- To ensure that all business is conducted within the rules, guidelines and requirements of the local regulator. To follow all applicable internal compliance considerations and appropriate processes, policies and procedures.
Annual Client Meeting
- Coordinate and attend annual client meetings in South Africa, ensuring all logistics and documentation (e.g., meeting packs, trip rosters) are prepared in advance.
- Organise and facilitate board meetings for GBCs, including preparation of board packs and meeting logistics.
Inter-Team Collaboration
- Work cohesively with the Relationship and Administration teams as “One Team” to support strategic and operational goals.
- Assist the administration team as and when required to:
i. ensure that all trust and company administration is undertaken in accordance with the Company’s policies and procedures are being done by the administration team.
ii. To ensure that liaise with banks and intermediaries in an appropriate manner on all administrative issues.
Key Performance Indicators
- Achieve and exceed quantitative and qualitative performance targets, including sustainable client billing.
- Identify and pursue opportunities to grow revenue through existing and new client relationships.
- Address and resolve action points from investment reviews and file reviews, ensuring timely follow-up and client involvement where necessary.
- Review of the WIP and draft client invoices.
- Monitor and follow up on outstanding debtor balances, providing fee breakdowns to clients as required.
- To understand, buy-in and practice Accuro’s culture and values.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in a trust or fiduciary services environment.
- Strong working knowledge of fiduciary functions, with the ability to apply this expertise effectively in client servicing.
- Holds a relevant entry-level professional qualification such as ACCA, STEP, or ICSA, or a degree in a related field.
- Demonstrates a commitment to continuous professional development, with a willingness to pursue further qualifications such as South African Tax, Investment Planning, or Master’s-level studies.
Skills Required
- Solid understanding of company and trust administration, including core operational aspects.
- Familiarity with the regulatory framework, including relevant rules, guidance, and their practical implications.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken, with excellent communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel; experience with Business Central is an asset.
- Demonstrated ability in client relationship management, with a focus on service excellence and responsiveness.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and accountable, with the ability to manage tasks independently and seek support when needed.
- Capable of working effectively under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and solution-oriented, with a strong sense of initiative.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to identify and assess material risks and issues relevant to client structures and operations.
- Commitment to continuous learning and personal development, with a drive to expand knowledge and skills.
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills, with the ability to support colleagues and constructively challenge when appropriate.
- Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability in response to changing circumstances, opportunities, or challenges.
