Purpose of the Role
As a key member of the Fund Services team at Dolphin Management Services Ltd, the Fund Accountant will work collaboratively to deliver high-quality accounting and administration services to a diverse portfolio of international fund structures. This role supports the full life cycle of fund operations — from onboarding to day-to-day processing and eventual termination — with a focus on excellence, regulatory compliance, and client satisfaction.
Main Responsibilities
Serve as a key point of contact within the Fund Services team, coordinating service delivery to assigned clients and ensuring deadlines and deliverables are met to the highest standard.
Support the administration of fund entities and related structures, maintaining alignment with governing documents, internal policies, and regulatory requirements.
Ensure services provided are compliant with applicable laws and internal procedures, while supporting Dolphin’s long-term goals and values.
Provide high-touch client service while upholding the company’s reputation for discretion, precision, and reliability.
Day-to-Day Duties
Client Service
Understand clients’ structures and expectations in line with service level agreements.
Proactively manage client communications and assist with the resolution of queries or escalations.
Coordinate closely with the Relationship Managers and operational leads to ensure seamless service delivery.
Business-as-Usual Operations
Liaise directly with clients and address enquiries promptly and professionally.
Prepare periodic and statutory financial statements for client entities.
Handle tax computations and file tax returns, including APS and VAT.
Liaise with external auditors during audit cycles and assist in responding to queries.
Prepare bank transfers, subscription/redemption files, and NAV packs.
Support regulatory compliance by maintaining accurate records and adhering to reporting deadlines.
Collaborate with internal teams and provide support on fund-specific or ad hoc projects.
Ensure all tasks are completed within the agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Maintain a high standard of accuracy, organisation, and timeliness in all deliverables.
Qualifications & Experience
Higher School Certificate (HSC) or equivalent.
A minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience in fund accounting or fund administration.
Committed to pursuing a recognised accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA).
Experience with fund accounting software (knowledge of PFS Paxus will be a strong advantage).
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure in a deadline-driven environment.
A team-oriented mindset with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
