DTOS is seeking an Associate – Compliance to support the Compliance team in ensuring adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies. The role involves conducting compliance reviews, assisting with AML/CFT oversight, supporting staff training, and maintaining strong relationships with regulatory authorities to safeguard the organisation’s compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct periodical compliance reviews of client files.
- Conduct Initial Client Risk Assessment and On-Going Client Risk Assessment
- Assist the Risk and Compliance Manager with in-house training on Compliance and Anti Financial Crime.
- Adhere to internal procedure manuals and staff manual
- Compile and analyse statistics for input in compliance reports.
- Assist in compiling surveys from authorities (FSC, BOM, Statistics Mauritius).
- Assist in conducting Client Screening
- Assist in revising Anti financial Crime Manual and internal policies.
- Attend seminars and courses on relevant topics.
- Keep up to date with changes in legislations, regulations, guidelines, codes, and practices.
- Maintain good relationships with authorities, other service providers, and colleagues.
Job Requirements
- Holders of a professional qualification (ACCA, ICSA) or university graduates in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Law, Management, or any other related field.
- Experience in the compliance field is an advantage.
- Motivated self-starter and proactive.
- Sound knowledge of relevant legislations, regulations, and codes.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Ability to work independently with an eye for detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Team player with excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Good time management skills with respect to assigned tasks and projects.
