Role Purpose
The Finance & Shared Services Trainee will support the Mauritius Shared Services (MSS) team in delivering finance, operational and project-related activities within a dynamic shared services environment.
The role will initially provide hands-on exposure to key business initiatives, including system and process enhancement projects, while progressively supporting broader finance and shared services operations.
This is a 12-month trainee programme designed to provide practical work experience, structured learning and professional development, with potential opportunity for permanent employment subject to performance and business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support on business initiatives, including system implementations, data migration and process enhancement activities.
- Assist with data entry, journal postings, bookkeeping and maintenance of accounting records.
- Support month-end and year-end finance processes.
- Assist with basic bank and account reconciliations.
- Support data processing, system updates and maintenance of financial information.
- Assist with onboarding activities, documentation and record management.
- Perform data validation and quality checks to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Provide administrative and coordination support across MSS activities.
- Contribute to internal projects, operational improvements and shared services initiatives.
- Undertake ad-hoc assignments in support of MSS delivery objectives and operational needs.
Learning & Development
- Exposure to shared services operations and finance processes

Candidate Profile
- Fresh Graduates or Diploma holder in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field
- ACCA/ACA students encouraged to apply
- Strong willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment
- Good attention to detail and organisational skills
- Basic Excel and IT skills
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
Programme Structure
- Fixed-term trainee programme (12 months)
