The Role
We are seeking to further strengthen our assurance footprint across the Trident Group via the recruitment of an Ongoing Assurance Analyst based in our Mauritius office. The successful candidate will be part of a global Ongoing Assurance Team alongside staff based in Panama, Isle of Man and Guernsey. Forming part of the Group Audit, Risk & Compliance structure with key reporting lines to Group staff based in the UK / IOM and reporting into the Group Head of Risk, Audit & Compliance.
This is a newly formed role to support the delivery of reviews across Trident Asia and Pacific offices. Key to the role is delivery of assurance-based quality reviews and reporting results to senior business stakeholders. The successful candidate will be required to complete the timely delivery of ongoing assurance testing across multiple offices including (and not limited to) Singapore, Hong Kong and Mauritius, in line with an agreed assurance programme. Reporting on adherence to internal quality processes, policies and procedures and regulatory requirements (where appropriate).
The role requires strong communication and organisational skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective business relationships.
Duties
- Deliver Ongoing Assurance reviews in line with the approved annual Plan or as requested by the Group Head of Risk, Audit & Compliance and in line with agreed quality standards / methodology
- Planning and researching areas subject to ongoing monitoring including review of office policies and procedures and regulatory requirements
- Complete work papers and agreed test scripts by documenting the results of assurance testing completed
- Escalate to Group Audit, Risk & Compliance / business management on a timely basis any issues identified in testing completed
- Produce summary reports of testing completed that are factual, accurate and appraise issues identified and the mitigating actions to be taken by management to remediate
- Conduct follow-up activities to ensure agreed actions have been fully implemented to minimise business risks
- Support the production of Management Information reports for key business stakeholders around Ongoing Assurance Plan status, emerging issues and status of agreed actions
- Responsibility for agreeing objectives and own personal development plan
- Maintaining effective working relationship with business management across all Trident offices and promoting a strong risk and compliance control culture

Experience and Qualifications
A minimum of 5 years’ experience preferably in the financial service industry / experience of corporate, trust, fund related services (preferred). Exposure to and understanding of AML/CTF requirements including quality assurance processes or controls testing would be advantageous.
