Trust Services, Team Leader

Reporting to the management team of the Trust department, this role will require any successful candidate to oversee a small team and manage a portfolio of complex international trusts, foundations and offshore companies for a dedicated desk

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Administer a portfolio of complex international trusts structures, foundations managed through the Mauritius office, including but not limited to, achieving high standard of corporate governance, fiduciary integrity and statutory compliance and maintaining up to date records and financial reporting
  • Work closely with other Trident offices in the Asia/Pacific region in the establishment and administration of trust and foundation structures (including assisting in the incorporation and administration of underlying entities in different jurisdictions)
  • Oversee a team comprising of junior and senior administrators
  • Provide daily administration services to the structures managed by the other Trident offices in the Asia/Pacific region in a timely, courteous and professional manner (including assistance in the setup/incorporation)
  • Reviewing and monitoring of the work done by team members assigned to the team, including maintaining discipline among team members on a continual basis to meet weekly/monthly targets achievements
  • Ensure that client entity records managed through the Mauritius office are kept up to date on Tridents systems (Quantios vPoint)
  • Follow company procedures for trust and company administration, compliance guidelines to safeguard Trident from potential risks exposure
  • Observe and comply with Trident’s internal policies and procedures for the day-to-day administration of the portfolio to meet the respective regulatory requirements of the Trident office being serviced
  • Undertake periodic File risk reviews, transaction monitoring
  • Assist in the completion of ad-hoc projects
  • Any other duties in the scope of the role that the company requires

Qualifications and Skills

  • Qualified/partly qualified STEP or relevant professional qualification
  • Degree holder in Management, law, finance, business studies
  • At least 8-10 years’ experience in administration of fiduciary client entities and team management
  • Solution driven, positive and proactive professional attitude
  • Ability to take responsibility for workload, including prioritization of work to meet tight deadlines
  • Good analytical and writing skills
  • Good team player
  • Experience in working in shared services will be an advantage
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft tools (word and excel)
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Excellent relationship management skills
  • Good time management skills
  • Good communications skills including good written and spoken English and French. A third language like for e.g mandarin, Cantonese or Spanish will be an advantage
  • Experience in working with relevant systems like Quantios vPoint will be an advantage
