Overview

Main Responsibilities
Conduct the following within prescribed deadlines (but not limited to):

  • Responsible for assessing the completeness and accuracy of documents and data points related to AML/CFT compliance by reviewing client files in line with the pre-defined global AML/CFT file review and data management process.
  • Performing the relevant screenings.
  • Identify and advise on CDD deficiencies and agree approach to obtaining additional information.
  • Ensuring that the relevant identified action points are correctly recorded in the systems.
  • Ensuring relevant documents and information are saved in the relevant workspaces/ system fields.
  • Liaise with other Ocorian offices as well as with their clients.
  • Verifying the relevance and accuracy of client-provided information and documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Updating any client information on the Ocorian systems.
  • Manage and secure data integrity.
  • Ensure an awareness and understanding of Regulatory requirements, standard, simplified and enhanced CDD measures in relation to the relevant jurisdiction/s and apply appropriately.
  • Ensure jurisdictional regulations are met.
  • To achieve quality and quantity objectives as set out on a daily and weekly basis.
  • To adhere to all internal policies and procedures.
  • Report and provide regular updates to the reporting line or any other designated person and provide general assistance to the latter and to undertake any ad hoc duties as may be required.
  • Ensure completeness of due diligence documents and information for a portfolio of clients according to Ocorian Policies and Procedures.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of all information on Ocorian, its clients and employees at all times to safeguard the professional reputation of Ocorian, its employees and its clients.
  • Accurate time recording in accordance with Ocorian Policies & Procedures.

Qualifications

  • Ideally a minimum of 1 year experience preferable in the financial services, compliance, legal or audit environment.

Job Description

Purpose of the Job

Provide support and assistance to the Directors, Managers and Administrators.

To accurately process accounting records and prepare complex financial statements and management accounts in accordance with the designated accounting framework(s). To review the work of and coach Junior members of the team.

Main Responsibilities

Conduct the following within prescribed deadlines:

  • Take responsibility for an allocated portfolio of clients
  • Prepare and post final bookkeeping entries required for producing financial statements and management accounts for more complex clients
  • Liaise with clients to ensure efficient delivery of output and meeting client service expectations
  • Provide support to the team on policies and processes to enable the team to work efficiently
  • Review simple to semi-complex client deliverables to assist the Assistant Manager/Manager when required
  • Prepare complex reconciliations (investments, cash and other reconciliations)
  • Review bank, investment, and any other reconciliations of junior team members
  • Review VAT returns for clients as prepared by junior members of the team. In addition, prepare VAT returns for more complex clients
  • Provide accounting support to staff and assist with ad-hoc projects as may be required from time to time
  • Prepare annual financial statements in accordance with appropriate accounting standards and, management accounts (incl. TB) from the accounting records of the complex client entities
  • Review the work of and provide guidance to the junior members of the team whenever required.
  • Liaise with the appointed Auditors to complete the audit of financial statements in accordance with defined timetables
  • Assist the Assistant Manager / Manager and other members of management team, providing daily support as requested.
  • Support the on-going development of the team through involvement in the coaching, training and motivation of team members with supervision and guidance from the Assistant Manager/Manager
  • Ensuring working papers and checklist for each deliverable is prepared & kept (in cases of reviewing work) to the required Ocorian standards and/or agreed upon procedures
  • Assist with ad hoc accounting tasks or projects as and when requested
  • Preparing budget for client deliverables
  • Escalating of any client matter/issue/complaint to the Assistant Manager / Manager promptly
  • Provide accounting service to clients in various jurisdictions within the Ocorian Group

Qualifications

  • ACCA/ACA fully qualified and/or having first degree in accounting field or qualified by virtue of relevant experience in Finance industry and or Accounting/Auditing experience.
  • Finance Industry and or Accounting/Auditing experience within or with exposure to the Real Estate/Private Equity environment.

Knowledge, Skills And Experience

  • Minimum of 4 – 6 years’ experience of preparing client accounts
  • Knowledge in Real Estate accounting is an advantage
  • Knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP is an advantage
  • Experience with E – Front and Value Financials is desirable

Purpose of the job

  • NAVOne is one of Ocorian’s core applications and this role is to be the prime source of NAVOne expertise in the firm, providing guidance and support for all aspects of application usage including data migration and consolidation, application integration, workflow development and maintenance and data analysis.
  • To lead the deployment, maintenance, upgrade and development of NAVOne in all Ocorian offices.

  • To support all business operations on the NAVOne platform including practice and client accounting, client operations, banking and payments, and workflow development and maintenance.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Knowledge of and deep experience with the NAVOne financial management system is essential: it is expected that the post holder would typically have 5+ years’ experience working with TrustQuay NAVOne in a similar financial services environment.
  • A thorough understanding of trust and company accounting and financial reporting would be an advantage.
  • A high level of cross-jurisdictional fiduciary services business awareness together with an understanding of the client services offered by Ocorian and a proven track record of NAVOne migration and integration in such a business.
  • This position requires a strong BA skill set covering process, system and data analysis, data management, data migration, reporting, planning and business intelligence as well as operational and risk knowledge including a firm understanding of information security and compliance processes.
  • Microsoft SQL skills would be a significant advantage.

Purpose of the job
Being part of the Luxembourg Desk in Mauritius and provide support and assistance to the Luxembourg Capital Market department.

To accurately process accounting records and prepare financial statements and management accounts in accordance with the designated accounting framework(s).

Main Responsibilities

Conduct the following within prescribed deadlines:

  • Bookkeeping, preparation of financial reports and working papers including annual accounts and notes mostly based on LuxGAAP.
  • Responsible for a portfolio of clients engaged in securitization, structured finance and private debt vehicles and maintaining client relationship.
  • Develop and maintain a process to ensure the timely delivery of client accounting requirements in relation to financial reports and accounts for all entities in allocated portfolio.
  • Review and understand funds flow around capital market transactions- financial instruments, loan agreements, notices, distribution calculations.
  • Attend board meetings and other client meetings to present accounts and discuss accounting related matters.
  • Preparation of Tax and VAT returns.
  • Assistance to senior team members on daily tasks and other administrative tasks
  • Liaising with third parties.

  • Assist the Manager and other members of management team, providing daily support as requested.

Job Description
The Ocorian Global Billing team manages billing and accounts receivable (AR) for an increasing number of jurisdictions across the world. The team is based in Mauritius and reports into the Head of Billing and the Global Team Finance Director.

The Billing Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day execution of all billing tasks for a specific jurisdiction(s)

Main Responsibilities

  • Follow up of proper timesheet maintenance across a portfolio of jurisdictions / clients
  • Transfer time across jobs and/or proceed with time write-off as and when requested
  • Clearance of overnight issues as per task list calendar.
  • Running the draft bills process in line with Jurisdictional requirements into NavOne across a portfolio of jurisdictions/clients
  • Manage requests for ad hoc invoices and raise draft invoices in the system
  • Reverse invoices or raise credit memos
  • Follow-up with the staff/managers to ensure the invoices are approved as per the internal deadline
  • Answer queries on billings raised by the staff
  • Ensure the process is understood and followed by everyone
  • Ensure our database is up to date (resources, charge out rates, etc.)
  • Maintain accurate job fees set up in the system for each client
  • Prepare various reports on time as and when requested
