JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for assisting team members in production of periodic management accounts, management reports and other reporting requirements and supporting the Client Accountants in the provision of fund accounting and financial reporting services to a portfolio of clients.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITES 

The post holder will be responsible for:

  •       Prepare journal input on bookkeeping systems for clients on a monthly basis.
  •       Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
  •       Liaise with other departments within the group to ensure questions/queries are responded to in a timely and efficient manner.
  •       Assist the Manager and Accountants with allocated tasks.
  •       Assist in preparation of management account, management reports and any other reporting requirements.
  •       Assist in preparation of financial statements in accordance with recognised GAAP and relevant reporting requirements.
  •       General correspondence with clients and connected parties.
  •       Accurate time recording in the time billing system on a daily basis.
  •       Providing assistance to administration staff on accounting and bookkeeping matters
  •       Compliance with company procedures.
  •       Completing any other duties as may be required from time to time in accordance with the requirements of the role, team and evolving nature of the function.

KEY COMPETENCIES & SKILLS

  •       Minimum 1 years’ experience in a similar role within the Finance Industry.
  •       Studying towards relevant accounting qualification – ACA, ACCA or equivalent or willingness to study towards a relevant Professional Qualification.
  •       Able to communicate effectively – both verbally and in writing with clients and colleagues.
  •       Comfortable with technology and can adapt to various bespoke systems.

Corporate Administrator

Qualification
  • Degree holder in Management, Economics, International business, Law, Banking and Finance or equivalent or partly or fully qualified ICSA/ACCA.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Must have at least one to two years current, practical and relevant experience, within the trust, corporate or fiduciary services sector, with excellent administrative, servicing, coordinating, support, relationship management and innovation skills,
  • Must have good knowledge of regulatory and statutory requirements as applicable to the financial Services Sector in Mauritius when it comes to administering Global Business entities, domestic entities, Trusts etc

Compliance Assistant

Qualification
Degree in Law or any relevant qualifications. Experience in the field would be an advantage.

Compliance Executive

Qualification
Degree in Law , Degree in Law and Management or any other equivalent qualification or a professional qualification ACCA, ICSA.
Experience
At least 2 years in the industry/ or similar position

Compliance Officer

Qualification
Degree in Law , Degree in Law and Management or any other equivalent qualification or a professional qualification ACCA, ICSA with at least 3 years in the industry and a relevant and valid AML/CFT professional certification.
Experience
 At least 5 years in the industry/ or similar position

Accounts Officer

Qualification
Degree holder in Accounting or Partly ACCA Qualified.
Experience
1-2 years in Accounting would be an advantage.

Client Accountant

Qualification
Degree holder in Accounting or ACCA Qualified
Experience
 3 to 5 years experience in Accounting /Fund Accounting in the offshore sector would be an advantage

Job Summary:
The primary function of an ICT Security Specialist is to be responsible for ensuring the safety of information system assets and to protect systems from intentional or inadvertent access. The candidate will implement and administer information security controls using software and vendor security systems. The role requires strong technical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate and maintain security software such as antivirus, ZTNA, endpoint encryption, database activity. monitoring, privileged access management, and other tools used to protect systems and IT infrastructure.
• Support in administering an overall security program to protect information system assets’ integrity, confidentiality, and availability.
• Provide direct support to the business and IT staff for security-related issues involved in the evaluation of products and/or procedures to enhance productivity and effectiveness.
• Help the security team to investigate security breaches and other cyber security incidents.
• Research upcoming information technology and security trends, stay updated on potential threats and attacks and develop preventive strategies.
• Assist in creating security awareness plans, campaigns, and training.
• Integrate and deploy security software solutions.
• Poactively in the administration of systems with a view to prevent problems before they happen.
• Understand and align to day to day work in adherence to the organization’s strategy.
• Provide operational and project support for security tools including but not limited to: Security Information Event Monitoring (SIEM), Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), Database Activity Monitoring (DAM), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Privileged Access Management (PAM), Identity Management (IDM), Database Encryption, File Encryption, and/or API Encryption.
• Serve as the subject matter expert in relation to installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of security tools.
• Enforce security policies and procedures by administering and monitoring security profiles; reviews security violation reports; investigates possible security exceptions; and updates, maintains, and documents security controls.
• Respond to information security-related questions and inquiries using established information security tools and procedures.
• Keep up to date with IT security news and suggest improvements to react to changing IT security conditions.
• Perform daily and weekly checks on security systems and produce weekly or monthly reports about trends and security events.
• Follow up on incidents raised by stakeholders and ensure timely resolution of problems.
Qualifications
Requirements: 
• Minimum B.Sc. in Information and Communications Technologies, Computer Science or equivalent. 
• Information Security or Cyber Security Certifications (Security+, CEH) can be an advantage.
• Experience in the banking/financial industry will be an advantage.
• Minimum of 3 years’ proven work experience as an ICT Security Specialist. 
• Hands-on experience in managing & maintaining security solutions.
• Experience in troubleshooting security related application issues and providing technical support to end-users.
• Proficiency in utilizing diagnostic tools, log analysis, and problem-solving techniques to identify and resolve security related issues.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiar with local regulatory guidelines for financial institutions will be an advantage.
• Good understanding of common information security management frameworks, such as ISO 27001, GDPR, PCI-DSS and NIST.

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised Accountant to join our team. This role involves managing key financial processes, preparing reports and ensure accuracy in our financial operations. The ideal candidate should have a strong grasp of accounting principles, proficiency in ERP systems, and experience in financial reporting. The job holder will be an integral part of the finance team, supporting the end-of-month and year-end processes, conducting financial analysis, and assisting in audit activities. 

Key Responsibilities

•    Prepare and post journal entries on the ERP system and actively participate in month-end and year-end closing processes.
•    Perform daily control activities to ensure accuracy and compliance.
•    Assist in the timely preparation of the bank’s management accounts.
•    Reconcile Expected Credit Losses (ECL) and prepare necessary journal entries for posting on ERP.
•    Prepare monthly reporting packages for management review, including balance sheet analysis, net trading analysis, and ECL, among others.
•    Prepare monthly and annual cash flow statements and workings.
•    Support the preparation of monthly tax computation.
•    Assist with the preparation and reconciliation of the Bank’s asset register. 
•    Prepare relevant disclosures for the annual report, including IFRS 9 ECL disclosure. 
•    Prepare quarterly and yearly reports for Audit Committee and Board reports.
•    Conduct daily, monthly, and yearly reconciliations of financial figures to ensure data accuracy.

Qualifications

Requirements

•    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and professional qualification such as ACCA.
•    Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting or finance, ideally within the banking or financial services industry.
•    Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., data analysis, pivot tables, and complex formulas).
o    Strong understanding of IFRS standards, including IFRS 9, and knowledge of financial disclosures.
o    Experience in preparing financial statements and management accounts.
o    Familiarity with tax computation, asset register management, and cash flow analysis.
•    Analytical Skills: High attention to detail with the ability to analyse and interpret complex financial data.
•    Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting and collaborating with management, auditors, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare internal and external reports.
• Prepare credit pack, and presentation.
• Ensure and provide reliable and relevant data to other departments such as Finance, Risk, and Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) departments.
• Prepare information for Management Information System (MIS) purposes and also provide required information to auditors, Bank of Mauritius within prescribed deadlines.
• Calculate Expected Credit Loss (ECL).
• Participate in the operational risk matters for the department.
• Prepare credit paper pertaining to request for credit facilities.
• Participate with preparation/implementation of credit-related projects, policies, procedures, frameworks.
• Any other cognate duties that may be assigned.

 

Qualifications

Key requirements

• Minimum Diploma in Finance, Management or partly ACCA qualification.
