- Plan and co-ordinate on all aspects of accounting planning, including staffing requirements.
- Responsible for managing accounting teams on specific assignments to ensure the work is appropriately completed.

The Requirements:
- Possess a professional qualification (ACA or ACCA).
- Experience in audit will be an advantage but is not a pre-requisite.
- Good working knowledge of compliance and regulation.
- Ability to support and mentor staff.
- Experience of large domestic company in addition to dealing with complex technical matters.
Job Description:
The Insolvency Manager is responsible for managing many essential day-to-day components of insolvency assignments.
The Responsibilities:
- Day to Day management of a portfolio of cases from cradle to grave including Administrations, Liquidations and Bankruptcies.
- Ensure all matters are compliant in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with stakeholders, creditors and other advisors.
- Preparation of draft correspondence, draft reports and draft presentations.
- Undertaking investigative work for the benefit of recovering assets for the insolvent estate.
- Participate in client meetings.
- Participate in strategy discussions with supervisors and partners.
The Requirements:
- Possess a bachelor’s degree or a professional qualification (ACA or ACCA).
- At least 5 years’ experience in a restructuring and insolvency team.
- Experience in fully managing a variety of projects and engagements.
- Ability to mentor and supervise junior staffs.

Purpose of the Job
The incumbent will work collaboratively and pro-actively within the established Fund Services team in Mauritius. The Company intends to provide the full range of fund administration, accounting and investor services, predominately to the full range of fund structures. Main Responsibilities
- Be an integral part of the Fund Services Team coordinating client service, taking responsibility for assigned deadlines and the overall quality of deliverables to support SpearFin’s ever-growing and diversified international client base.
- Deliver high quality services to SpearFin’s clients for the full life cycle of operations, from take-on, to business-as-usual and on to termination.
- Assist with ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and with the relevant short, medium and long-term goals, objectives and values of the organisation.
- To support the administration of a portfolio of Fund structures and other entities to ensure all investor services related activities fall within the guidelines/stipulations of the statutory or governing documents.

Tasks (what does the role entail on a day-to-day basis)
Client Service:
- Develop an understanding of clients’ organisations; understand clients’ expectations in line with the client service agreements.
- Help ensure the service delivery is consistently met or exceeded.
- Help the team Manager with client issues ensuring appropriate resolution, including regular liaison with clients, relationship managers and other operational managers to provide a seamless service.
Business As Usual:
- Liaise with clients as required.
- Deal and attend to clients’ inquiries promptly and efficiently.
- Prepare statutory and periodic accounts of the clients.
- Prepare statutory tax returns of the clients.
- Liaise with the independent auditors of the clients.
- Prepare bank transfers for client companies.
- Prepare subscriptions and redemption files for client companies.
- Assist in the preparation of NAV files for client companies.
- Attend to regulatory and compliance issues.
- Provide such assistance to your supervisor/managers and colleagues as may be required from time to time.
- Deal with any other general matters relating to the clients’ affairs as may be required from time to time.
- Prepare all relevant activity within stated Service Level Agreements.
- Liaise with other teams as required for guidance, advice and sign off.
- Assist as required in the implementation of projects related to Fund Services as and when required.
- Assist the Manager to ensure that all queries and tasks are resolved in a timely manner.
- Work as an effective team member with other internal providers to meet our key deliverables.
- Ad-hoc duties as and when required.
Qualification & Experience:
- Higher School Certificate
- At least 2 years’ experience in the role.
- Committed to studying further and relevant accounting qualifications.
- Knowledge of PFS Paxus would be preferred.

- Handle payment instructions for client entities in line with internal payment validation processes;
- Handle requests from the fund administration team on accounting-related matters;
- Provide timely updates of internal compliance reports and prompt escalation of breaches to the head of the department;

The Role: Senior Fund Administrator – Private Equity
The senior fund administrator will be responsible for managing a portfolio of companies with minimum assistance and carrying out day-to-day administration, including but not limited to, corporate secretarial functions and undertaking periodic risk reviews for regulators.
Duties:
- Be the lead contact for a portfolio of clients;
- Ensure all transactions relating to the clients’ affairs are executed timely and efficiently;
- Assist in set-up of closed-end funds structured as companies or limited partnerships, CIS managers
and/or GBL/AC SPVs;
- Conduct closings for closed-end funds and/or admittance of investors, employing customer due diligence;
- Prepare and/or review capital calls and drawdown notices, and conduct the requisite corporate actions for approval;
- Ensure all statutory registers are maintained and are up to date;
- Prepare and/or review written resolutions for the approval of transactions (including investments, restructuring, disposal of investments, etc.);
- Prepare and/or review board packs, including arranging and attending board meetings;
- Prepare and/or review payment instructions in line with internal bank transfer validation processes;
- Assist the fund accounting team with audits of financial statements and sign off on them;
- Deal with regulators and service providers, including FSC, banks, auditors, etc.;
- Coordinate and resolve all fund-related issues under guidance of the team leader and/or manager as required, including attending to client queries in a timely manner;
- Proactively resolve client matters and escalate as required;
- Coach, supervise and review client work done by assigned fund administrators;
- Provide timely updates of client database system per internal procedures;
- Ensure compliance with anti-money laundering procedures including KYC;
- Accurately record all time spent;
- Review client invoices as part of the billing process;
- Ensure that all statutory fillings under company secretarial duties are made within prescribed deadlines;
- Ensure compliance with internal systems, procedures and processes;
- Maintain proper and complete client files and records;
- Maintain a high standard of customer service at all times;
- Build and maintain good relationship with team members;
- Any other ad hoc administrative functions as may be assigned by the head of the department.
