Assistant Corporate Administrator

The Assistant Corporate Administrator shall be responsible for the day-to-day administration of portfolio of client entities of GBC, Authorised Companies, Trust, Foundation and Domestic companies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of companies under the supervision of senior staff;
  • Perform the day-to-day administration of the companies, and monitor compliance of files,
    according to the relevant laws of Mauritius and of our internal procedures;
  • Draft and prepare minutes of meeting, resolutions, prepare board packs;
  • Attend clients’ payments requests;
  • Prepare and file statutory documents with the relevant authorities;
  • Liaise with external parties such as regulatory bodies, banks and auditors, as well as with clients;
  • Any other duties as may be assigned by Management.

 

Qualification:

  • Degree Holder in Management or Finance or ICSA or any other relevant field;
  • Working experience in a Management Company as administrator of at least1 year;
  • Good communication skills, spoken and written (English & French).

 

Others:

  • Ability to work in a team and in a dynamic environment;
  • Able to meet deadlines;
  • Be well versed with the MRA Rules, Companies Act, Financial Services Commission Guidelines,
    Trust Act and other related Acts and Regulations;
  • Knowledge on AML CFT;
  • Flexible to travel abroad for client meetings (expenses to be borne by company).

 

Director, Client Services

Main responsibilities and requirements:

  • Oversee the work delivered by the Client Services teams to ensure service delivery to Apex Group (Mauritius) standards;
  • Responsible to establish effective goals, sales targets and policies that will benefit Apex Group (Mauritius) and increase revenue;
  • Oversee budget and financial activities and make recommendations for improvement;
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients to encourage good business relations and networking for maintaining, extending and expanding the revenue line;
  • Meet and exceed regulatory, internal and client requirements around governance, risk.
  • Professional accounting qualification; Degree and/or MBA or equivalent will constitute an advantage;
  • Have at least 15 years of working experience in the finance and accounting industry;
  • Prior experience working in a large corporate with global responsibility is a key requirement;
  • Have extensive client and senior management interaction;
  • Experience in managing large pool of talents (over 50);
  • Experience with SLA-driven working environment.

Compliance Analyst (Senior Associates)

Main responsibilities and requirements:

  • Send initial KYC requirements list to client;
  • Collate KYC documentation from client;
  • Review KYC documentation received ensuring it is appropriate for the risk rating level applicable to the client;
  • Carry out screening (Name list screening and Negative News Searches (in line with Apex Screening Procedure);
  • Prepare KYC checklists and arrange for review.
  • A Degree in Banking, Management, Law, and Finance ;
  • At least 3 – 5 years of work experience in relevant field;
  • Some travel to other Group offices may be required from time to time.

Administrator Share Registry (Associates)

Main responsibilities and requirements:

  • Conduct Anti Money Laundering / KYC checks on shareholders (i.e. investors) in accordance with the policies & procedures and liaise with investors in relation to anti-money laundering documentation.
  • Check if the Investor has provided all information required for FATCA/CRS classification in accordance with the guidelines. Liaise with the FATCA Team and the investors accordingly.
  • 0-5 years of Experience in Investor Services / Transfer Agency operations preferably with Hedge Funds and a proven interest in the financial markets, hedge funds  and private equity funds.
  • A Qualified Degree in Business or Finance.

Tax Consultant (Associates to Senior Associates)

Main responsibilities and requirements:

  • Review tax, PAYE, TDS, CSG and VAT computations and returns;
  • Coordinate internally to ensure timely filing of quarterly and annual tax returns for all clients;
  • Monitor status of client tax compliance by reviewing the tax reports and producing KPIs;
  • Prepare and maintain the taxation processes;
  • Assist with regular internal training sessions/tax updates sessions;
  • Maintain database of MRA tax rulings, domestic tax cases, Indian tax ruling/cases and relevant international tax rulings/cases;
  • Assist in drafting and submitting application for tax rulings and representations to ARC.
  • 4+ years of working experience in the Global Business sector and familiar with different types of vehicles structures;
  • Holds a degree or has substantially completed a professional ACA or ACCA qualification.

Main responsibilities and requirements:

  • Maintain bank accounts, including bank account opening, initiate transfers and liaising with the bank and any adhoc work assigned by Seniors;
  • Effect statutory filings with FSC, ROC and other statutory bodies;
  • Prepare and file Annual returns, APS returns, PAYE return, TDS returns, VAT returns, Indian tax returns within statutory due dates;
  • Prepare simple accounts and tax computations and liaise with auditors;
  • Completion and follow-up of Certification, Notarisation, Apostillation, Consularisation of documents on a timely basis.
  • 0 to 5 years of working experience in the Global Business Sector or an audit firm would be an advantage;
  • Holds a degree or undertaking ACCA or ACA professional studies;
  • Proficient in MS Office (Microsoft Word, Excel);

  • Effect statutory filings with FSC, ROC and other statutory bodies;
  • Liaison with D&O/PI insurance providers on behalf of the Client;
  • Effect customer due diligence (CDD) as per AML Code and maintain an updated list of CDD for all companies.
  • 0 to 5 years of working experience in the Global Business Sector or a Cosec role would be an advantage;
  • Holds a degree or has completed/ substantially completed a professional ACA or ACCA or ICSA qualification or equivalent.

  • Ensure internal /statutory /investor deadlines are met.
  • A professional qualification such as ACCA/ICSA with 10+ years of experience in the industry;
  • Holder with degree in Finance or Accounting, and/or postgraduate academic qualifications;
  • Expert knowledge of fund structures and other related legal and regulatory requirements.

  • Ensure all client servicing and support requests and defined, associated T&CS tasks are delivered accurately, efficiently and in line with all associated and relevant Policies, Procedures (“P&Ps”) and Regulation, whether local or for the Apex Client.
  • Be proactive and provide prompt, excellent and professional T&CS administration services.
  • Support the Apex Client to ensure databases and core records are kept up to date and all relevant activity and transactions within scope of role are captured in the appropriate system.
  • Comply with the Group’s internal control and audit standards.
  • Partly or Fully Qualified ICSA or a Degree in Management, Law and Finance.
  • Minimum of 2 to 4 years’ experience in handling a portfolio independently and trust administration experience or relevant.
